12 Dec Promotional Pencil Mishap
Most of you clicking to read this article might be envisioning a mishap with a pencil being jabbed in someone’s eye or face or possibly even “accidentally” inserted in some bodily orifice. But this actually has to do with something that most people and most promotional product distributors never even think about. Which way do you print the text on promotional pencils? Believe it or not, it does matter sometimes! Here’s an example; It’s an oldie but a goodie. An elementary school in New York printed some pencils with the slogan “Too Cool To Do Drugs.” Great message, right? Indeed it is. However, look what happens as they sharpened the pencils. The correct direction is on the bottom.
I thought of a few more slogans that have been used for Anti-Drug campaigns that would make a BIG difference if the print didn’t go the correct direction.
- If You Aren’t Drug Free You Can’t Hang With Me >> Drug Free You Can’t Hang With Me
- No Need For Weed >> Need For Weed
- Stand Up To Drugs Or Fall To Your Knees >> Drugs Or Fall To Your Knees
- There Is No Need To Smoke That Weed >> Need To Smoke That Weed
