If You Can’t Beat the Heat, Join It

There’s no denying that the heat in Florida is just about too hot to outside during the day, unless, of course, you are at the beach or in a pool. The heat is severe but you can enjoy it safely while swimming with the proper use of sunscreen. Why not leverage this heat and give out promotional sunscreen with your company logo printed on it? They come in all different price points and they are sure to be used in any hot outdoor environment. Don’t forget about custom lip balm with SPF in it to keep those lips from getting burned. Also, beach umbrellas are another great item to help keep you cool while chilling at the beach. These make great corporate gifts to give to your employees as gifts or rewards. They are also great to sell in your gift shop for restaurants and resorts or at retail stores. When buying your promotional products, make sure you buy the appropriate products that are useful and will be used. This gets you the maximum advertising exposure for your dollar.

Why Churches Should Use Offering Buckets and Not Offering Plates

Offering Buckets

Offering Buckets

It’s no secret that contemporary church services are growing at a much faster rate than traditional church services.  This doesn’t mean that there is not a place for traditional worship; however, it does mean that churches should be focusing a lot more resources to their contemporary services.  One of those trends in contemporary service is to use offering buckets rather than offering plates.  Offering plates are great for traditional worship services but they don’t blend with the contemporary feel.  Plus, offering buckets are larger and therefore people feel more obligated to let loose of more money.  Many smaller churches think that offering buckets  are just used by mega-churches; but this is not true.  Many smaller church services have made the transition and are using offering buckets.  The idea is to use a lot of buckets to speed up the collection process and have more worship time.  In addition, you are branding your church by having your church logo on the sides of the buckets.  Even though churches are non-profit, marketing and branding is just as important to promote growth and reach as many people as possible.  And the more people a church can reach, the better it’s ministry efforts will be.

Here’s a Dog Who is Just Too Cool

Are you tired of the lame old promotional products?  You do have a choice since there are over one million

Promotional Sunglasses

Promotional Sunglasses

different promotional products available.  Try something different and out of the ordinary.  Sometimes, out of the ordinary means using a product that is extremely ordinary such as sunglasses.  It is rare that you see anyone giving them out as promotional items, much less giving away stylish ones. Promotional sunglasses are great giveaways since they are useful and everyone needs sunglasses, especially if you live in the great state of Florida.  You can see in the picture that my dog knows cool promotional products when she sees them.  If you want to give out some premium gifts to your top clients, give them items they will use and in turn will consistently advertise your business. These would also be great employee motivation gifts for rewarding your top employees. My one word of advice would be, please don’t give away the super cheap sunglasses that you wouldn’t be caught dead wearing. If you wouldn’t wear them, neither will your clients or employees and they will trash them and get that cheap vibe from you. So follow what this cool doggy is doing and get cool.

Ways To Show School Spirit Through Your Business

It is my opinion that every local business should show their school spirit for their local school.  Even if the business owner did not go to that local high school and even if he or she didn’t have kids that attended the school, it is important to support the school.  Schools are embedded within our respective communities and are extremely important.  Afterall, they will be producing many of the future business owners right there in your community.  So as business owners, we should support the schools as we can.  Locals like to buy from business who support their local community. Here are a few ways to show your School Spirit for your local schools:

  • Buy ads for the sports programs and yearbooks.  These are typically fairly cheap and the money raised from these ads help buy new equipment for the students and athletes.
  • Be a sponsoring business by purchasing mini footballs, thundersticks, or stadium seat cushions for the school booster club.  By sponsoring, you get your logo printed on the products which can in turn be sold by the booster club or cheerleaders for fundraising.  This allows the booster club to reap 100% profit on their sales of spirit items.  It also gets your some great marketing exposure.
  • Have sales corresponding with big school events such as football games, prom, homecoming, and other major events.
  • Display football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball game schedules at your business location.
  • Buy a banner space if available at sporting events to help support the team and give you more advertising exposure to the hundreds or thousands of fans.

I’m So Hungry I Could Eat The . .

interassional
I’ve heard the expression, “I’m so hungry I could eat the back end of a mule.” However, the typical expression has another word substituted for the underlined word. While I have heard this expression used several times when someone is really hungry, I’ve never seen a place where this may actually be a reality….until today. Take a look at this picture I took at a restaurant. Now, obviously the ‘n” fell off of the sign, but now instead of ready International Buffet, I read this phonetically as Interassional Buffet. Doesn’t sound very appealing does it? Your image for your business is critical to be successful. If a portion of your sign falls off, you must fix it right away and not let potential clients get a poor first impression.  It’s difficult to get over a poor first impression for a business, but it’s easy to avoid it in many cases with some regular maintenance and upkeep.  Branding is a vital process for any business and keeping a consistent positive image should be done across all advertising mediums such as your sign, brochures, business cards, website, Facebook, Twitter, promotional products, and any other literature.
